Referrals From Myspace

That's right! Myspace has millions of users. Take advantage of it! If you don't have a Myspace profile, get one. Put a nice Myspace layout on it. Don't put your referral links or banners on your profile page. Myspace just started this new thing where if you click a link that takes you to a non-Myspace website it pops up this scary warning message. We don't want to scare anyone away! There are a couple of ways you can go about getting referrals from Myspace.

1) Use the groups and forums. Click on the forums link in the top menu. Click "settings" link on the right side and make a signature link with your referral URL. Make is short and sweet. Myspace blocks links to competing websites (including Yuwie) so you will have to hide your referral URL, or just use a plain text link for people to copy and paste. Try something like:

Get paid to write blogs, post pics, and have fun @ http://r.yuwie.com/myreferral

Be sure to change the part in bold to YOUR REFERRAL NAME! (it's under your Yuwie Control Panel box)

2) Write a Myspace blog entry about Yuwie. [Blogs will not block any links or pop up any warning messages for clicking on links.] Tell about how much fun you have on Yuwie. Yes, of course mention that you do get paid to have all of this fun! Be sure to include your referral banner code.

Go to friendstorm.net and add a bunch of Myspace friends. (You'll get lots of requests from there too)

Use the Browse link in the top navigation menu. Search for people there for NETWORKING and add them.

Send out comments to your new friends thanking them for adding you and telling them you have a blog you think they would be interested in and put the link to that blog post.

Be creative with this! Use your imagination. You gotta catch their attention and make them really want to see what's in this mysterious blog. Take a lesson from tabloid headlines. They play on your curiosity. There is a reason those people are making millions off of their headlines! So,use that strong human curiosity to your advantage.

Test out different "headlines" to see what works best for you. There are always plenty of Myspace friends to add, so you will never run out of resources to test your headlines to your blog links.
